Three rings. One session. Endless combinations. In this masterclass, you'll handcraft a set of three sterling silver stacking rings — each with its own texture and character — designed to be worn together or mixed and matched however you choose.
This is the perfect introduction to silversmithing, and the most rewarding. There's something deeply satisfying about sliding on a ring you've made yourself. By the end of this session, you'll have three of them.
You'll start with lengths of sterling silver wire and learn the full ring-making process from scratch — measuring, cutting, forming, soldering, shaping, and finishing. Then you'll explore three different surface techniques to give each ring its own personality.
Every ring is shaped on a mandrel, soldered with a jeweller's torch, filed by hand, and brought to its final finish on the polishing wheel. These are real silversmithing skills — the same techniques used in professional workshops around the world — and by the end of this masterclass, they'll be yours.
No experience needed. This workshop is suitable for beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. The workshop allows participants to learn basic techniques and skills to create their own set of silver stacking rings.
During this workshop you'll learn techniques such as measuring, ring sizing, texturing, soldering, forming and finishing to create a set of silver stacking rings.
These techniques will be practised roughly in copper to allow for experiment and play before going on to create 3 stacking rings in sterling silver.
Perfect for gifting, too. Keep all three for yourself, or share them with someone special. A handmade ring carries a meaning that no shop-bought piece ever could.
Small class sizes ensure you'll receive plenty of one-to-one guidance throughout. All materials and tools provided, including sterling silver wire in various gauges, and full use of professional workshop equipment.
You'll leave with three finished rings on your fingers and the skills to make more whenever you like.
Duration: 3 hours | All materials included
